Firstly you will need to make sure your CD Drive is set to the fist boot
device. If you do not have an existing operating system installed your PC
should recognize this and then choose the next available boot device. Setting
the Boot order is done in the BIOS. The get into the BIOS simply turn on your
PC, and when the operator logo appears there will be options stating what keys

by them tick the "AGREE BOX" and then click "NEXT" to

5 - What Type of Installation do you want? The installer will ask
what type of installation you want to run, select "CUSTOM
(ADVANCED)".
6 - Where to install Windows?
The next prompt that appears asks what partition you wish to install Windows
to. To most users installing a new copy of windows there will only be one
partition available which will say something like "Disk 0 Unallocated
Space", select where you want to install your operating system and click
next.
For users that are reinstalling windows, you will need to select each
partition of the disk and delete them. Do this by clicking on each partition
and then clicking "DRIVE OPTIONS (ADVANCED)" then "DELETE"
and then confirm your action.
7 - Off it goes
The installer will then continue and will display its current progress.

8 - Nearly there
After a while your PC will reboot and continue with the installation. After
it finishes the installation you will be prompted to enter a "USER
NAME" and "COMPUTER NAME", do this and then click
"NEXT" to continue. You will then be asked if you would like to give
your user name an associated password, if you wish to do this then enter a
valid password and click "NEXT" otherwise leave the fields blank.
9 - Product Key
Enter your Windows 7 Product key and click "NEXT".
10 - Setup
A protect your computer box will appear, please select how you would like to
protect your Custom PC, most users will want to select "USE RECOMMENDED
SETTINGS". You will then be asked to review your date and time settings,

11 - Location
If your computer
is connected to a network then please select your current location. If your PC
is not connected to a network then you will be presented with your fully

Live Mail comes pre-installed with Windows 7 comes. There will be a Live

window is slightly different from the window in Outlook. You had to navigate to
different sections to enter port numbers and server addresses. However, here
you can enter all the information in one window. Thus, you can say that it is
more organized than Outlook.
Enter rest of the information as desired. Do not forget to check the box
beside My outgoing server requires authentication. Hit the Next button to
continue. If your email account is a Hotmail or Windows account, the program
will prompt you to let it download your folders, messages etc. When done,
finish the wizard and you will see all your emails and attachments etc. in your
inbox.
Additional Tips:
If you insist on using Outlook Express, install Windows XP on your Windows 7
computer for dual booting. When you want to use Express, boot into Windows XP.
When you are not using Microsoft Outlook Exp, boot into Windows 7. In case you

Having problem installing a piece of
software on your system is frustrating. Do you want to find out how to install

The problem I experienced with while
installing IIS:
I tried to install Internet
Information Service (IIS) on my Windows XP Service Pack 2. The setup failed and
kept asking for Windows XP SP2 CD. I only had Windows XP SP1 CD and the Service
Pack 2 Service Pack 2 installation package.
I tried to find an existing solution
on the Internet using Google. I read and attempted many solutions including a
complicated one from Microsoft Support (support.microsoft.com/?kbid=894351) and
some simple solutions "Installing IIS after Service Pack 2". None of
those solutions I found actually worked, or the instruction was too complicated
to follow
Finally I had to solve by myself.
Here is what I did: I had unpacked the SP2 installation file using WinRar a
while ago and compiled a CD image file from it. I mounted this CD image onto a
virtual CD. I install and use this Virtual CD to supply the missing files which
are somewhere inside the I386 folder.
Here are the steps you can follow to
install IIS without having a Windows XP SP2 CD:
- Download the XP SP2 installation file (softwarepatch.com/windows/xpsp2.html) if you do not already have.
- Extract the content of the file into a folder using WinRar (win-rar.com) or similar compression software;
- Start installing IIS using standard procedure (Control Panel > Add and Remove Programs > Windows Components)
- When it prompts for source folder, browse for the I386 folder that you extracted earlier
- When it prompts for missing files, browse I386 and its sub-folders for them.
The solution was easier than it
look. You do not need to riskily alter the Windows security folder. You do not
need to spend time merging SP2 into Windows XP CD. All you need to do is to use
what were already there.

Insert the installation disc that came with the webcam into the CD drive,
close all the windows that pop up to begin the webcam installation wizard.
This would stop any component from the webcam CD to be installed on your computer.
Connect your webcam to the PC using the spare USB port. When connected, the
Windows 7 will recognize the webcam, and you will see a notification
"Installing device driver software. Wait for the notification to
disappear.

If it still doesn't help and you see an error message 'Windows was unable to
install your Unknown Device'.
You can either go to your manufacturer's website to find and install the
compatible driver for your webcam or manually locate the driver files to

To manually install the driver files, go back to the 'Update Driver
Software' drop-down menu (mentioned above), click to select 'Browse my computer
for driver software'.
Click on the 'Browse' button and then 'Next' to let the wizard begin
searching for driver software
In the 'E:\' drive, click on the 'Drivers' folder, and then click on 'OK'.
If it shows a different path in browsing folder, then change it to E:\ drive,
and click on 'Next'
The wizard will start browsing and installing driver software. When finished
installing driver files, the wizard will show the same prompt 'Windows has
finished installing the driver software for this device'.

You can Install Windows 7 via DVD Disk you've purchased or with bootable USB.
1. First, insert your Windows 7 Boot Disk into your DVD drive and reboot
your PC While the PC is rebooting, you will be prompted " Press any key to

2. After you press a key, Windows will load installation files.
3. Windows 7 setup will start
4. Select your language, time and currency format and keyboard input (US)

Step 1 - Load Windows XP CD in your DVD-ROM drive and restart the
computer. Press any key when prompted as "Press any key to boot from
CD".
Step 2 - Wait for the Windows Setup screen. You will get options as:
New Windows install, Repair previous install, or quit. Press Enter key to start
new Windows install.
Step 3 - Follow the on screen prompts to complete the installation
process with the setup wizard.
Step 4 - Now, to create partition press "C." You are
flexible to decide number of partition and size of each. Press Enter, once you
have decided the size. You can decide the partition, where you want to locate
operating system XP's file. Choose the file system as "NTFS", as
permitted for Windows XP and complete the installation procedure with the help
of on-screen prompts.
Upgrade to Windows XP
You can easily upgrade your present XP edition with the desired one. You
have to follow the steps given above, except when asked for installation type
select Upgrade (the default setting), and then click Next. Now, go on following
the on-screen prompts and your Windows XP installation will be completed.
